Change or Cancel a flight

Each fare within the itinerary you have booked carries unique rules and restrictions:

  • If each fare has an airline change fee, then the highest fee applies to each traveller.
  • If any fare does not allow changes, then no changes are allowed to any flight.
  • If any fare is non-refundable, then all flights are non-refundable

Please refer to the "Penalties" portion of each fare for all rules. These can be found in the Fare Rules section of your flight summary.

The total cost of your change with us will depend on the following:

  • airline change fee, possible fare and tax difference and helloworld applicable fee's as per below
  • a)      Changes to Domestic/Trans-Tasman bookings will incur a fee of $50 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier and credit card fees.

    b)      Cancellations to Domestic/Trans-Tasman bookings will incur a fee of $80 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier and credit card fees.

    c)       Changes to International bookings (excluding Trans-Tasman bookings) will incur a fee of $110 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier and credit card           fees.

    d)      Cancellations to International bookings (excluding Trans-Tasman bookings) will incur a fee of $300 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier and credit          card fees.

    #Fees exclude GST, where applicable.

What constitutes a change?

  • date changes either before or after departure
  • changes to routing,
  • changing to a different flight on the same airline
  • changing class
  • name corrections:
    • most airlines treat name changes as FULL CANCELLATION and can incur full cancellation charges.
    • airlines generally do not allow passengers to change the name on the ticket to another third party - ie they are non-transferable.

Before you purchase your ticket and if you think you might have to change your reservation at a later date then it is worth investigating fares that have a lower penalty to make amendments or cancellations. These will be more expensive initially but may save you money in the long term.

We do not facilitate changes or cancellation online. If you want to proceed and change / cancel your booking:

  • Low Cost Airlines / Carriers:
    • You must contact the Low Cost Airline directly for all changes to your booking as we cannot access the booking systems of low cost airlines.
  • All Other Airlines:
    • You must contact us by phone to change your booking. We are available to assist you  by calling:
      • Customer support: 1300 722 501 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)
    • Changes to bookings can take time over the phone, and we do request and appreciate your patience whist we assist you.

All changes are subject to availability, limitations and restrictions of the relevant airline / airlines.

The refundable portion of your purchase price (if any) will be refunded to you and to the extent we are refunded by the airline / airlines, we will pass this refund to you normally within a 3 month time period.
